America is waking up! We are on the brink of a spiritual awakening the likes of which the world has never known. First some backstory. I grew up in what I would call conservative evangelical churches. Sadly, at least one of them would now be what Jesus called a synagogue of Satan. Every summer there would be a week of revival which was nothing more than five nights of church as usual with a visiting “evangelist.” Bored me to death.

During the Charismatic Renewal of the late sixties and early seventies, the revival weeks morphed into conferences. I saw this as an improvement. At least there was some beneficial teaching instead of just evangelistic preaching to the choir. We have attended many conferences since then. Several years of Promise Keepers. Toronto, Brownsville and Seattle during the Father's Love revival of the late nineties. Many conferences in Denver, Colorado Springs and Loveland here along the Front Range of Colorado. We also traveled to Abbotsford, Canada and Lakeland, FL when revival was rumored there. You might say that we have been God chasers. More recently our children paid for us to attend a conference at Bethel Church in Redding, CA. I said all of that because over time I got conferenced out and just as bored as I was with the weeks of “revival” when I was a child. So many times people begin with their life message and end in a publish or perish mode. I felt this happen to the conference culture and I haven't felt excited about the next conference for some time now.

So I didn't think much about it when I heard about the 2021 Health and Freedom Conference that just occurred April 16 &17 in Tulsa, OK. My Lord, however, had other plans and I ended up streaming the last quarter of the conference on my computer. I was enthralled. I couldn't stop watching. Each speaker was given just twenty minutes to say what they had to say. When dinner time came I switched to my phone, put in my earbuds and kept on listening. Let me give just two examples. Attorney Lin Wood was the penultimate speaker. He was an absolute berserker, calling out everyone and everything that is evil and corrupt in our nation. He was on fire! The man is obviously willing to give his life to save America. In contrast, the ultimate speaker whose name I don't recall was soft spoken and told the history of many pastors at the time of the revolutionary war. His organization is the Black Robe Regiment. He called out pastors saying: “If any pastor is not willing to preach a political sermon, then they should do something else.” I was literally shouting amen in my home office.

The conference was not put on by a church or ministry. A disc jockey was led by God to do it. He put it together in forty-five days. Rhema Church in Broken Arrow (a Tulsa suburb) was the only venue that would agree to host a mask free event. It could only accommodate around forty-five hundred people. They had over fifty thousand sign up. Towards the end of the conference they announced that more than three million people were streaming the conference on-line. I don't know how others found the conference. I had given up looking for a working feed. Then I got an email on my gmail account, that I rarely check, from a source that I've never heard of saying that the conference was on Clouthub channel 102.

This conference convinced me that America is indeed waking up. It was a very much appreciated encouragement for me. From my study of sociology, I know that it takes two percent of any population to start a people movement. We need to expand the three million people to six or seven million on fire patriots.
